Read the identifier in context.
A USDOT number identifies an entity. An MC, FF or MX docket describes operating-authority registration. One company can have multiple dockets.
What can a public record tell you?
The record can show names, registered contact details, reported fleet information and source-reported authority. It cannot establish who is contacting you, whether a load is legitimate or whether insurance covers a particular shipment.
How current is the information?
Every profile shows when its information was retrieved. Selected browsing records use a saved source snapshot; other lookups query the public source on demand. A retrieval date is not the date each fact changed.
